HOME COURSE DEFINITION

The “Home” course is the course number established by the “Home” department; the “Home” department is the department viewed as primarily responsible for sponsoring and funding the instructor who teaches the course. The “Home” department should coordinate the communication between the various departments involved in creating a crosslisted series of courses.

Any new Crosslistings must meet the approval of the Dean’s and the curriculum committee. Once everyone is in agreement, the crosslistings can be created by the Home department.

Note: A “Home” course can have many “Idents” tied/related to it, but an “Ident” can have only ONE “home” associated with it.
